Anderson movie

by John Accomando Feb 23, 2013 Is Steven Anderson’s movie entirely correct? I PMd this to a brother last evening who knows Anderson well, so I might as well post it here, as I put a great deal of time into it. I don’t see it as being a big deal, except when pressed by those who might argue that prewrath has no flaws. I see the rapture as as post-trib for a number of reasons. Prewrath and posttrib both agree that the Day of the Lord (DOTL) is the “wrath” which we’re “not appointed to”. One of the main differences is regarding the chronology of the judgments. Prewrath generally says that they’re chronological. Anderson, however, sees the trumpets and vials unfolding in lockstep with each other after the seals, so he throws in a little twist. Posttrib (for the most part), on the other hand, doesn’t see the judgments […]

The Day of the Lord

NEW AND IMPROVED! MORE POPULAR QUOTES! The “Day of the Lord” by John Accomando Many modern, popular, eschatology teachers assert that the “day of the Lord” (DoTL) includes the 70th “week” of Daniel 9:27, and that we are therefore raptured prior to the start of that same span of time, which is widely referred to as “the tribulation”, in futurist vernacular. Most of these same teachers would acknowledge that “The Great Tribulation” only encompasses the 42 months which follow the mid-week “abomination of desolation” (Matthew 24:15). Here are some excerpts from their writings on the topic: Dwight Pentecost (“Things to Come- A Study in Biblical Eschatology”)- “The term the Day of the Lord, or that day, is not a term which applies to a twenty-four hour period, but rather the whole program of events, including the tribulation period…” John Walvoord (“The Rapture Question”)- “The Day of the Lord as presented […]

Refutation of the Pretribulation Rapture

Pretrib claims that there are two resurrections of the just, separated by 7 years. Posttrib claims that there is only one resurrection/rapture of the just, which happens at the Lord Jesus’ post-trib, post-70th week return. Who is resurrected at the Lord’s return? ALL who are “in Christ”: Who is resurrected at the Lord’s coming? ALL WHO ARE IN CHRIST. When does that happen? At the “last trump”: So at the last trump, ALL who are in Christ will be raised incorruptible. Paul further explains that when this happens, believers become immortal: So Paul further goes on to say that when this happens; when the corruptible puts on incorruption; when “this mortal” shall put on immortality…”death is swallowed up in victory”. Notice that Paul says “then it shall be brought to pass THE SAYING THAT IS WRITTEN…” Which “saying”? Where is it “written”? Again, Isaiah 25:8: What does Isaiah go on […]

Prewrath? or Posttrib?

by John Accomando PREWRATH? OR POSTTRIB? Scripture and History Reveal The Truth: Regarding the discussion of prewrath versus posttrib, while I love my prewrath brethren, Scripture says that we will be here for the full 42 months of the Great Tribulation: Daniel 7:25- “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and THEY SHALL BE GIVEN INTO HIS HAND UNTIL A TIME AND TIMES AND THE DIVIDING OF TIME.” Revelation 13:5-7: “And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue FORTY AND TWO MONTHS. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him TO MAKE WAR WITH THE SAINTS, and […]

Wake Up Call

WAKE UP CALL by John Accomando I think there is a great deal of banking on the notion that we’ll be “outta here” before the tribulation starts, but what will everyone do if the popular teaching is wrong? Does everyone realize just how unprepared the Western church is? What is the “wrath” which we’re not appointed to? The Day of The Lord (DoTL). He tells us as much in verse 2, as that’s the theme of 1 Thess 5: 1 Thessalonians 5:2- “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.” A careful examination of Scripture reveals that it does indeed give us a timetable for the start of the DoTL: Matthew 24:29- “Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and […]

Rapture and ….

Post by Susan Weeks.   I just saw a post someone had made, saying that the Rapture would come first, then a false alien invasion . . . Here’s what you need to know. This is important!!    “Rapture First!!! UFO Deception Follows!!! “   NO!!!! I believe this is what Jesus was warning us about!   ‘Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; GO NOT FORTH: behold, [he is] in the secret chambers; BELIEVE [IT] NOT. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.’ (Jesus, Matthew 24:26-28)   Understand–whoever goes out when they say ‘He’s here’ will end up being a carcass!! There may very well be a false rapture where they tell […]

Gnashing of Teeth

“GNASHING OF TEETH” by John Accomando     I’ve tried pointing out repeatedly how Paul said that the “Day of the Lord” (DoTL) comes only upon the wicked like a “thief”, and not the righteous, and that the Lord is still telling us to “watch” for His coming like a “thief” even after the 6th vial (Rev. 16:15), but I realized something else about the pertinent verses in the Olivet Discourse. Read the oft quoted verse again: Matthew 24:43- “But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.” One should realize that the Lord described this in a post-trib context, because He laid out Matthew 24 sequentially (Beginning of sorrows- verse 8; Abomination of Desolation- verse 15; Great Tribulation- verse 21; His posttrib return- verses […]

Tribulation

Will Christians Go Through the Great Tribulation? by Rich Deem Events Preceding the End Three of the four gospels tell of Jesus’ description of the end time events. In addition, the book of Revelation describes these events in some detail (although not completely in a sequential order). The complete text of each description is given in the references. The major events of these end times prophecies are included in the table below. The verse citations are color-coded and letter-labeled to indicate parallel passages in each account.
