Prewrath? or Posttrib?

by John Accomando PREWRATH? OR POSTTRIB? Scripture and History Reveal The Truth: Regarding the discussion of prewrath versus posttrib, while I love my prewrath brethren, Scripture says that we will be here for the full 42 months of the Great Tribulation: Daniel 7:25- “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and THEY SHALL BE GIVEN INTO HIS HAND UNTIL A TIME AND TIMES AND THE DIVIDING OF TIME.” Revelation 13:5-7: “And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue FORTY AND TWO MONTHS. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him TO MAKE WAR WITH THE SAINTS, and […]

When Christ Calls

When Christ Calls by David Neal Jesus was purposefully walking along the Sea of Galilee: Luke 5:2-3, “And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down and taught the people out of the ship.” Christ had used Simon Peter’s boat as a stage from which to teach the people, but also had additional purpose in his request. Luke 5:4-5, “Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.” Simon […]

Son of God Movie review

Review and Critique By Justin Peters – March 2014   Ten years after Mel Gibson’s movie, “The Passion of the Christ,” we have another blockbuster film portraying the second Person of the triune God.  This movie, “Son of God,” shares more in common with its predecessor than simply the main character.  Like “The Passion,”“Son of God” has Roman Catholics (husband and wife team of Mark Burnett and Roma Downey) as its producers and is being enthusiastically embraced and promoted by evangelicals. Once it comes out on DVD, “Son of God” will be sold in many secular stores, and undoubtedly every Christian bookstore.  LifeWay Christian Stores, affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, is already selling a Bible study authored by Rick Warren based on the film. 1 Knowing that this movie is going to be the topic of considerable conversation for some time, I went to see it with pen […]

The Truth About Easter

The Pagan Origin Of Easter Easter is a day that is honored by nearly all of contemporary Christianity and is used to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The holiday often involves a church service at sunrise, a feast which includes an “Easter Ham”, decorated eggs and stories about rabbits. Those who love truth learn to ask questions, and many questions must be asked regarding the holiday of Easter. Is it truly the day when Jesus arose from the dead? Where did all of the strange customs come from, which have nothing to do with the resurrection of our Saviour? The purpose of this tract is to help answer those questions, and to help those who seek truth to draw their own conclusions. The first thing we must understand is that professing Christians were not the only ones who celebrated a festival called “Easter.” “Ishtar”, which is pronounced “Easter” […]

God’s Love is not Unconditional

GOD’S LOVE IS NOT “UNCONDITIONAL” ~ by Harold Kupp ~ “God loves you unconditionally!” I challenge anybody to prove that from the Bible. There is not a single verse which explicitly states that God loves mankind (or even a Christian) without conditions. Some would point to the verse that says “…while we were yet sinners God loved us” or John 3:16 which says: “For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son…” in order to demonstrate God’s continuous love. However, if one looks closely, those verses do not say that God loves mankind. They say He loved them. The Greek verb “agapao” (loved) is in the aorist tense and indicative mood, thus a single completed act; that is, not a present tense loves, but a past tense loved. The fact that at some point in time God acted with charity towards a sinful world by giving […]

Death & the Soul, part 3

We’ve been talking/studying about the soul of man and what happens at death. Millions of people have wondered about this down through the years. They want to know about their beloved dead. Where do they remain during the time they wait for the great resurrection day? Today we’re going to answer this question. We are not immortal. We’ve found that there is no such thing as a naturally immortal soul. We’ve found that the body and the very life is made up of a combination of breath plus the body. And when the breath returns to God and leaves the body, there is no longer any conscious existence on the part of the individual. The soul is not in existence as long as the breath is not in the body. These things have been established previously. Now, we want to know this: If we’re not immortal by nature, when will […]

Death & the Soul, part 2

Continuing on from part one…..  We introduced the intriguing subject of life after death or what is a soul? What happens to an individual when death comes? This is a question that has perplexed people right down through the ages. What is the soul? (more info from Strongs available HERE.) We’re going back to Genesis 2:7 to get God’s definition of a soul. Now friends, God knows. We may not know and understand it all, but He certainly has the answer for us. Notice this text. “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Now here’s God’s own definition of it, friends. Let no man think that he can improve on it. We might put it in a little formula like this: BODY + BREATH = SOUL. That’s all there is […]

Death & the Soul, part 1

Amost every home has experienced the death of some loved one, and because of it, the heart cry of millions all over the world is, “Where are our dead? In heaven? In hell? In purgatory, limbo, or some other place? Are our departed ones asleep, or are they dead? What has been done with the millions of dead?” You know, friends, only as we get the whole story from the Book of God can we know the whole truth on this very vital subject. Grabbing a text here and plucking a text from over there and founding an entire doctrine on that text is one of the most dangerous things a person can do, and it might cost an individual his eternal salvation. And yet it’s often done today, whole doctrines are based on just one verse of the Bible. Did you ever hear the story of the four blind […]

Is it Right to Judge?

IS IT RIGHT: To Judge, To Expose Error, & To Call Names? by E.L. Bynum Many today believe that it is wrong to expose error and to name names. Liberals have always seemed to believe this, but in recent times it has been widely espoused by evangelicals and charismatics. Now we are seeing the same fatal error being declared by those who profess to be Bible believing fundamentalists. Those who are faithful in exposing error according to the Bible are now being widely denounced, and are accused of being unloving and unkind. In this tract we intend to present the teaching of the Bible on this vital subject. I. It Is Right To Practice Biblical JudgmentOne of the most misused verses in the Bible is, “Judge not, that ye be not judged”(Matt. 7: 1). Every Scripture verse should be read in its context, if we are to properly understand the […]

Shabbat Shalom

What is the Meaning of “Shabbat Shalom?”

Wake Up Call

WAKE UP CALL by John Accomando I think there is a great deal of banking on the notion that we’ll be “outta here” before the tribulation starts, but what will everyone do if the popular teaching is wrong? Does everyone realize just how unprepared the Western church is? What is the “wrath” which we’re not appointed to? The Day of The Lord (DoTL). He tells us as much in verse 2, as that’s the theme of 1 Thess 5: 1 Thessalonians 5:2- “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.” A careful examination of Scripture reveals that it does indeed give us a timetable for the start of the DoTL: Matthew 24:29- “Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and […]

Family Devotions

IDEAS FOR FAMILY DEVOTIONS I want to have Family Devotions with my family, but what do I read to them? Where do I start?” I would suggest that you have a daily reading, but once a week do something different or special. Don’t get in a rut. Never let Family Devotions become boring. Always read the Word of God with faith and expectancy. Believe God is going to speak to you. Here are a few ideas to get you started. You will think of many more. READ THROUGH A BOOK OF THE BIBLE You can start at the beginning of a book in the New Testament and read until you get to the end of the book. If you have little children, only read two or three scriptures each night, and leave out the passages that may be difficult for them to understand. Read from a modern version of the […]
